Dow Jones Tops 18,000 for the First Time Since July – Latest Updates on HAS, JBHT, LII and PEP

New York, New York – April 19th, 2016 – On Monday, the Dow Jones Industrial Average topped the 18,000.00 mark for the first time since July. The Dow Jones hit a high of 18,009.53 before settling to close at 18,004.16, up approximately 3.32 percent year-to-date. The Dow has rallied almost 15 percent from its lows in mid-February. Additionally the S&P 500 Index rose 0.65 percent to close at 2,094.34, up 2.47 percent year-to-date. All sectors in the S&P 500 rose in Monday’s trading.

Hasbro, Inc. (NASDAQ: HAS) shares spiked 5.79 percent to close at $87.18 a share Monday. The stock traded between $84.57 and $88.00 on volume of 3.72 million shares traded. The company reported earnings of $0.38 a share on revenues of $831.2 million, up 16.5 percent year-over-year, for the first quarter of 2016, which topped analysts’ expectations if earnings of $0.24 a share on revenues of $777.1 million. Shares of Hasbro have gained approximately 30.0 percent year-to-date, and are up roughly 11.0 percent in the past month.

J B Hunt Transport Services Inc. (NASDAQ: JBHT) shares increased 2.13 percent to close at $87.25 a share Monday. The stock traded between $82.55 and $87.83 on volume of 1.87 million shares traded. The company reported earnings of $0.88 per diluted shares for the first quarter of 2016, which topped analysts’ expectations of $0.85 a share. Lennox International Inc. (NYSE: LII) shares declined 2.61 percent to close at $137.17 a share Monday. The stock traded between $134.06 and $141.66 on volume of 1.17 million shares traded.
